My partner and I were recently adopted by a rescue delight named, Layla. She is a JRT/Beagle mix, and very true to both breeds. We also share the love with our two indoor cats, Tippi and Max, each of whom I adopted from their lives as stray cats, each as very young kittens. Our outside cat, Chica, had birthed 5 kittens and cared for them under a home catty-corner to my new home. We were able to find wonderful homes for all with the help of caring, loving new neighbors and cat rescue friends I have worked with casually for many years. All pets are now neutered, fully vetted and LOVED immeasurably.

How did I neglect to mention my lifelong love for pets, having had 10 toy fox terriers and rat terriers over a span of about 40 years! I also had the privilege of being the human Mom and Grandma to dozens of others that were welcomed into adoption by wonderful, responsible families over the years.

I was not blessed with children, yet I am so blessed now with my new life that includes my partner, his adult daughter and son-in-law, and their two young sons that I have the thrill of being their Grandma! Not to forget their wonderful canine son, Queijo.

There are many treats that we will explore, and we are so excited to have seen you at the Elmer Harvest Festival this past October. I'm also just realizing you worked at Dempsey, Weiss & Associates with me~!! Very cool!
